The dream of writing about travel is something we all have to dream about, but for some of us, the prospect of actually being able to do so is a very real possibility.
I had a childhood that was filled with stories of travelling and stories of being able have adventures in other countries and see them firsthand.
I remember vividly the first time I saw the beaches of the Bahamas or the beaches in the Philippines, the moment I knew I wanted to travel to them.
I didn’t know what to expect.
I thought the only people who would travel were tourists or people from other countries who were willing to spend money on the trip.
I spent a lot of time on the beach in my teens, trying to find a beach that was not overcrowded or too far away from the beach.
I was fortunate to have an uncle who was a travel agent who would book me a trip to the Bahamas.
As soon as I found out he was going to be on vacation with me, I booked a trip for myself.
As I got older, my travels became more frequent and more expensive, but I still wanted to be able to experience the beauty of the country.
It was my dream to be a travel reporter and write about travel and travel-related issues, but there was a barrier in my path: I didn´t know how to travel.
So, I went to college and took a job in a book publishing company, and then I went into teaching full-time.
As a teacher, I had no idea what I wanted in life or what my dream was.
And as a student, I didnt know what I liked about travel.
After taking a year off from teaching full time, I decided to pursue my dream of travel writing, and I started writing a travel blog.
I became a traveling columnist and began writing articles for travel magazines like GQ, and for other publications, like Time, Travel, and Travel Now.
I started publishing my blog as Travel Writing in late 2017.
When I started blogging, it was a way to get my feet wet and get my foot in the door of a travel industry that I thought was very much a dream for me.
I went from writing about a dream I was still working towards, to being able for the first and only time in my life, actually being in a position to travel and to have some real experiences of what it’s like to travel in a foreign country.
In 2018, I published an article for Time Magazine about how my writing style changed after my first trip to a foreign city.
In a matter of weeks, I became an internet sensation, having thousands of followers on Twitter and Instagram.
I received a lot more work for my blog and publications, but it was my time in writing that really helped me realize how I could make a living writing about the world and travel.
It helped me to see my career evolve from being a full-fledged freelance writer to writing full-on travel writing.
As travel writing has evolved, so has my career.
It’s definitely been a long road, but my journey has been very rewarding.
