Trump to cut $1.3B from US travel agencies

President Donald Trump has announced his plan to cut about $1 billion from the travel industry over the next three years. 

The White House announced the changes in a Friday morning memo to members of the House of Representatives and Senate, which included the elimination of the Travel Council and the Travel Association. 

“The Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, the Federal Aviation Administration, the United States Coast Guard, and other federal agencies will eliminate their programs and programs of their respective agencies and agencies of other agencies,” the memo read. 

It noted the elimination would affect travel programs in: Travel and Tourism;
